The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. PSCO observed approximately fifty percent of the insulated fire bricks/refractory on the incinerator door to be fractured/missing. Incinerator serves as the ships means of disposing of sludge on a weekly basis. Additionally, incinerator has required similar repair by the ships crew on previous occasions.
