A towing vessel must carry a combination of day and night visual distress signals indicated in Table 141.370 and they must be stowed in either a pyrotachnic locker or a portable watertight container carried at the operating station. Container must be of bright color and must be clearly marked in legible contrasting letters at least 0.5" high with "DISTRESS SIGNALS". Vessel had a single visual distress light and flag, that was clearly marked for recreational or fishing vessel usage.
