PSCO observed 02 international shore connections were not in place according to their Fire Control Plan.

Resolution: Vessel submitted documentation showing permanent mounting brackets for international shore connections have been installed to port and starboard locations as stated in the fire control plan.

After any survey of the ship under regulations 7, 8, 9 or 10 has been completed, no change shall be made in the structural arrangements, machinery, equipment and other items covered by the survey, without the sanction of the Administration. PSCO observed that monthly checks of firefighting appliances were not being done in accordance with the Safety Management System outlined by the Organization.

Resolution: Vessel submitted documentation showing the Master conducted training education to PIC emphasizing that checking, testing, and inspection of all Fire Fighting and Life Saving must be conducted in accordance with Company's PMS.

07 - Fire Safety › N/A - No Subsystem › International shore-connection

Issued 10 February 2020 Resolved

Ships of 500 gross tonnage and upwards shall be provided with at least one international shore connection complying with the Fire Safety System Code. The connection shall be kept aboard the ship together with a gasket of any material suitable for 1 n/mm services, together with four bolts of 16 mm diameter and 50 mm in length, four 16 mm nuts and eight washers. PSCO observed the international shore connection set only had 4 washers.
