Each Liferaft shall or group of liferafts shall be stowed with a float-free arrangement complying with teh requirements of paragraph 4.1.6 of the Code so that each float free and, if inflatable, inflates automatically when the ship sinks. PSCO observed expired 04 hydrostatic release units have been expired since Jan 2019. Reviewed safety management system, no issues found.

Resolved 25 March 2019
Resolution: Received class report/ proper documentation from NKK stating all outstanding deficiencies have been rectified. The class report stated: newly serviced life rafts with new hydrostatic released were installed on board and were satisfactorily inspected.

The High-Level alarm required by paragraph (A) of this section must activate an alarm once the cargo level reaches 95 percent of the tank capacity or higher, but before the tank overfill alarm. PSCO observed high level alarm on cargo tank 3 starboard failure to alarm. Rectify prior to loading on cargo tank 3 starboard.

Resolution: Received class report/ proper documentation from NKK stating all outstanding deficiencies have been rectified. The class report stated: the reed switch as adjusted by vessel's chief engineer and tested by the attending surveyor for high level.
