Each towing vessel must have a reliable means to provide notification when an emergency condition exists or an essential system develops a problem. A high bilge alarm is one of these alarms. The vessel is equipped with an alarm system that individually indicates which alarm is tripped. When the bilge high-level alarm was manually tripped, the alarm sounded on the bridge but the visual indicator did not indicate which alarm was tripped. Since the system is designed to indicate individual alarms visually, it must work as designed.
