Each vessel vapor connection flange face must have a permanent stud projecting outward that has a 12.7mm diameter and is at least 24.4mm long. It must be located at the top of the flange face, midway between bolt holes, and in line with the bolt hole pattern. Every liferaft shall be stowed with its painter permanently attached to the ship. PSCO found both port and starboard liferafts installed on the vessel without painters permanently attached to the weak link after liferaft servicing was carried out the previous month. 17bc

Resolved 26 February 2018
Resolution: Received photographs showing proper installation of painter line on liferaft assembly, as well as procedures for liferaft configuration verification after annual servicing and monthly inspections, which were approved by the Administration.
