13101 - Under all sailing conditions, including maneuvering, the speed, direction of thrust and, if applicable, the pitch of the propeller shall be fully controllable from the navigational bridge. PSCO received report that the vessel experienced a reduction of propulsion from the Engine Power Limiter that limited vessel to slow ahead engine RPMs. 74 SOLAS (20) II-1/49.1 - 60ac

Resolution: Class surveyor submitted attendance report stating M/E unit 3 piston cooling oil (PCO) flow was normal but PCO sensor was defective. PCO sensor was replaced and M/E tested satisfactorily. See documents.

1899- Tankers(Other)- Samples which have to be kept on board shall be stowed in adesignated space, the stowage space shall be cell divided in order to avoid shifting of the bottles at sea. PSCOs observed cargo samples in glass bottles with no material in between other glass bottles. This poses a hazard if the vessel shifts at sea. 74SOLAS(14)VII/10.1 IBC16.5.2.1
