Provisions shall be made for ahead and astern propulsion. PSCO observed that upon initial testing, the STBD lifeboat would not engage in astern propulsion.

Provision shall be made for marking each life raft with the name and port of registry of the ship to which it is to be fitted, in such a form that the ship identification can be changed at anytime without opening the container. 3 out of 5 liferafts on board cards were incorrect locations and mislabeled. Liferaft case serial number 5086110215518 on the starboard side's card serial number and capacity was blank.

PSCO OBSERVED 11 PPM AMMONIA ON MARINE CHEMIST CERTIFICATE FOR COMPRESSOR ROOM. WHEN [name withheld] THERE WAS A STRONG AMMONIA ODOR.
