For determining the apporpriate fire integrity standards to be applied to bounderies between adjacent spaces, such spaces are classified according to their fire risk as shown in catergories 1 to 14. PSCO observed combustible materials in multiple locations not allowed by the space classifications per the requirement of the regulation. PSCO observed multiple carboard boxes in the computer room midship on deck 6, eletrical lockers 5.1.02, 4.4.01, deck A carpenter shop and uniform locker on deck A had combustibles stacked higher than the sprinkler head and flammable liquids outside of the paint locker inside the Boson locker.

Escape doors from public spaces that are normally latched shall be fitted with a means of quick release. Such means shall consist of a door-latching mechanism incorporating a device that releases the latch upon the application of a force in the direction of escape flow.Mechanism was replaced by crew, but still not adequate per the push to open requirement.

Fire door A.4.17 and fire door adjacent to it, both are missing the outer frame striker plate, compromising the A boundary inside of the space. 74SOLAS14 II-2/9.4.1.1.2 Code 50AC.

Automatic sprinkler fire fighting systems shall be of an approved type complying with the requirements of the Fire Safety Code in all control stations. A gauge indicating the pressure in the system shall be provided at each section stop valve. PSCO's tested 15 section valve pressure gauges at multiple section valves in main vertical zones throughout the ship. 08 gauges were found inoperable.
