The machinery, boilers, and other pressure vessels, associated piping systems & fittings shall be of a design & construction adequate for the service intended. PSCO conducted damage survey following propulsion irregularity & issue of COTP 0366-20. Chief Engineer stated the starting air distributor was misaligned & prevented the vessel from starting when astern order was given. Have certified technician provide servicing report stating why the distributor became misaligned and to the proper operation of the main engine. 74 SOLAS (2014) II-1/26.1 60 a c
