Each cable installation must meet Sections 6, of IEEE 45.8-2016 (incorporated by reference; see § 110.10-1 of this subchapter). USCG MI's observed multiple cable runs not secured properly. Areas identified were: Crane machinery room switchboard area, forward starboard machinery room overhead, and generally throughout the machinery room. Properly secure all cables IAW IEEE to satisfaction of USCG.

The crane engine room air receiver pressure relief valve is set to 225 psi & the MAWP of the air receiver tank is 200 psi. 46CFR54.15-10(a)

Pressure vessels shall be designed, constructed, and inspected in accordance with section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (incorporated by reference, see 46 CFR 54.01–1), as limited, modified, or replaced by specific requirements in this part. The provisions in the appendices to section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code are adopted and shall be followed when the requirements in section VIII make them mandatory. For general information, table 54.01–2(a) lists the various paragraphs in section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code that are limited, modified, or replaced by regulations in this part. Air Receiver in Crane had visible wastage, scaling corrosion. Provide ASME U1A form with serial number for that receiver that shows allowable corrosion allowance or replace. 46CFR54.01-2
