To assist in casualty investigations, ships, when engaged in international voyages, subject to the provisions of 1.4, shall be fitted with a voyage data recorder (VDR) as follows: Ships, other than passenger ships, of 3,000 gross tonnage and upwards constructed on or after 1 July 2002. PSCO observed that the vessel tampered with VDR cover which does not comply with the performance standards for shipborne voyage data recorders (Resolution A.861120); crew conducted changes or alterations to VDR after annual performance test report, which was completed on 07/04/2025.
