0199 To discharge ballast water into the waters of the U.S. the Master, owner, operator, agent, or person in charge of a vessel subject to this subpart must either ensure the ballast water meets the discharge standard, use an AMS, or ballast exclusively with water from a US public water system. The vessel reported that the AMS was not functioning properly. Provide documentation that AMS was repaired and is operating properly prior to conducting ballast operations in the US. 33 CFR151.2035(a) 15c

BWTS electronic log and record book were reviewed and verified the BW treatment operations were conducted in accordance with the approved BWM plan, for all operations after June 2017. 10c

Resolution: Vessel has conducted ballast water treatment in accordance with the plan and operations manual since the violation. None of the ballast water from that day remains on board the vessel.
