The purpose of this reg. is to prevent the ignition of combustible materials or flammable liquids. For this purpose, the following functional requirments shall be met: means shall be provided to control leaks of flammabale liquids. PSCO observed pooled oil under #1, #2, and #3 generators. Generator #3 had an active leak. 74 SOLAS (2020) II-2/4.1.1

PSCO observed the fixed hydrocarbon gas detection system inoperable for ballast water tanks. 74 SOLAS (2020) II-2/4.5.7.3.1

PSCO OBSERVED LOOSE CABLE GLANDS AND WIRING ON TEMPERATURE SENSORS FOR CARGO PUMPS #2 AND #3. ADDITIONALLY, MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL LIGHT FIXTURES IN THE PUMP ROOM WERE MISSING CLASPS. 74SOLAS(20)II-1/45.11

Resolution: Received ABS Class Report indicating loose cable glands and wiring on cargo pump's temperature sensors were tightened and new clasps were installed on electrical light fixtures and were properly secured.

THE TANK OVER FILL ALARM REQURED BY PARAGRAPH (a) OF THIS SECTION MUST - ACTIVATE A VISIBLE AND AUDIBLE ALARM SO THAT IT CAN BE SEEN AND HEARD ON THE VESSEL WHERE CARGO TRANSFER IS CONTROLLED AND IN THE CARGO DECK AREA. PSCO OBSERVED THE TANK OVERFILL VISIBLE ALARM DID NOT PRODUCE THE VISIBLE INDICATION. ALARM ONLY PRODUCED AUDIBLE ALARM.

Resolution: Received ABS Class Report indicating electrical tank overfill visual alarm connection was fixed and both audible/visual alarm tested to the satisfaction of class surveyor.

74SOLAS(14) Reg I/11(a)The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to ensure the ship in all respects witll remain fit to proceeed to sea without endangerment to ship or crew. PSCO noted starboard weather tight door to pumproom was originally drilled through with four holes to mount placards. Rivets are no longer there allowing vapors to freely pass from cargo deck into pumproom crew made temporary repairs to plug holes.

Resolved 28 June 2018
Resolution: Repairs were made to the door to the satisfaction of the attending class society surveyor.
