Vessel could not successfully recover Oscar. Vessel ran over Oscar first on the starboard side and then on the port side. Vessel uses a cargo net type of lifesaving appliance to recover people from the water. This was hooked up incorrectly first on the starboard side before being moved to the port side. Crew could still not recover Oscar and drill was aborted. Vessel crew to show attending MI that they can safely recover Oscar in a timely manner and to conduct other drills as necessary.
