The boilers, associated piping systems and fittings shall be of a design and construction adequate for the service for which they are intended and shall be so installed and protected as to reduce to a minimum and sanger to persons on board. PSCO observed a steam leak from the top of the boiler tank, top water level indicator valve and sight glass. 74SOLAS(20)II-1/26.1
