The condition of the ship and it's equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board.
The fixed gas detection flow-fail alarm was inoperable. ship's safety procedure manual 7.6.2 states that ships where fixed gas sytems is used to monitor flammable atmospheres in non-cargo spaces. The crew shall ensure alarms are in good operational order. 74SOLAS (2014 CONS.) I/11(a)
