To dischanrge ballast wanter into US waters, the ballast water must meet discharge standards as defined in 33CFR151.2030(a), use an approved AMS, or ballast exclusively with water from a US public water system. Vessel is required to treat water using approved managment/treatment system. Vessel did not properly document treatment of ballast water prior to discharging in the Port of Stockton, CA.
