1850-Fire Protection Cargo Deck Area-On ships carrying flammable and/or toxic products, a water-spray system for cooling, fire prevention, and crew protection shall be installed. Dedicated water spray system pump provided inadequate pressure for system. IGC 1993 (amended by MSC.370(93)) 11.3.1 a,c (prior to conducting cargo operations).

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report from ABS stating the deficiency was rectified. In line strainer after the discharge side of the water pump was cleaned and ABS stated they saw proper pressure.
