A new stability test and stability evaluation were completed and submitted to the Marine Safety Center (MSC) by a qualified naval architect, but the MSC has not yet completed their review of the calculations. Prior to receipt of final approval and an amended stability letter from the MSC, the vessel may operate, but may not carry in excess of 250 passengers, 6 crew members, and 10 persons in addition to the crew.

Heat actuated devices (HAD) do not trigger the pilot bottle when heated individually, both have to be heated at the same time to release the pilot bottle piercing pin. Manufacturer’s instructions specify that each HAD is to be tested individually with five minutes in between to reset. Prove operation IAW manufacturer's instructions and 46 CFR 118.410(a)(3).
