TANK OVERFILL ALARM AT THE BRIDGE AND MIDSHIPS IS WHITE LETTERS ON A BLACK BACKROUND AND IS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO BE READ FROM THE CARGO AREA. ADDITIONALLY, THE MIDSHIP ALARM ARRANGEMENT AND PLACARDING MAKES DISCERNMENT OF WHETHER THE CARGO HIGH LEVEL ALARM OR CARGO OVERFILL ALARM IS ACTIVATED. THE PLACARDS ARE ARRANGED VERTICALLY AND THE LIGHTS ARE ARRANGED HORIZONTALLY.

AT THE BRIDGE IT ACTIVATES A BEEP. AT MIDSHIPS IT ACTIVATES A HORN THAT DROWNS OUT THE BEEP. MIDSHIPS BUNKER HIGH LEVEL ALARM ALSO ACTIVATES A NEARLY IDENTICAL HORN MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DISCERN WHICH ALARM IS ACTIVATING, FURTHER CONFUSION COMPOUNDED BY THE AFORMENTIONED PLACARDING ARRANGEMENT ISSUE NOTED IN DEFICIENCY.
