A vessel of more than 26 feet but not more than 65 feet, must carry a minimum of one Coast Guard-approved life ring buoy of not less than 24 inches in diameter. Marine inspector observed that the grab lines on the life ring buoy, located on the main deck, was deteriorated and no longer serviceable. The owner/operator is to replace the life ring buoy with a Coast Guard-approved unit.
