Each vessel vapor connection flange face must have a permanent stud projecting outward that has a 12.7 mm (.5mm) diameter and is at least 25.4 mm (1 in) long. It must be located at the top of the flange face, midway between bolt holes and in line with the bolt hole pattern. Vessels vapor stud was removed due to the flange design on the facility equipment not lining up. All four vapor studs on vessel are not permanent and can be removed. 46CFR39.20001(j)
