In tankers, electrical equipment, cables and wiring shall not be installed in hazardous locations unless it conforms with standards not inferior to those acceptable to the Organization. During exam, PSCO winessed cracks in 25 light fixtures in cargo pump room. Cracking appeared to be internal stress fractures. Deficiency to be cleared prior to discharge of cargo in U.S. 74 SOLAS (14) II-1/45.11

Resolved 22 January 2021
Resolution: On January 18th, 2021 vessel replaced all deficient light fixtures and pressure tested using liquid, where gas tightness was found to be intact and working satisfactorily according to satisfactory tech report.
