SOLAS74(14) I/11(a); 40(a)(c): THE CONDITION OF THE SHIP AND ITS EQUIPMENT SHALL BE MAINTAINED TO CONFORM WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE PRESENT REGULATIONS TO ENSURE THAT THE SHIP IN ALL RESPECTS WILL REMAIN FIT TO PROCEED TO SEA WITHOUT DANGER TO THE SHIP OR PERSONS ON BOARD. STEAM PIPE IN PURIFIER ROOM WAS UNSATISFACTORILY REPAIRED AND HAD A PERSISTENT LEAK.

Resolution: Sector Houston received a class report from PRS attesting to repairs and the satisfactory condition of the steam piping within the purifier room.
