General arrangement plans shall be permanently exhibited for the guidances of the ship's officers, showing clearly for each deck the control stations, the various fire sections enclosed by "A" class divisions, the sections enclosed by "B" class divisions. The Fire Control Plan lists numerous watertight doors as being self-closing but are incapable of self-closing due to the design of the door lacking a spring latch and receiving strike plate as well as the watertight dogs preventing full closure.
