Specifically, the vessel was found to have an unserviceable life float required for Limited Coastwise route. Consequently, the vessel does not meet the requirements for its current route, and an operational restriction must be applied for the safety of passengers and crew.
The vessel's permitted route is temporarily reduced to Lakes Bays, and sounds. The vessel must not operate beyond this restricted route. The Certificate of Inspection (COI) must be amended by the OCMI to reflect this change, OR the underlying deficiency must be fully rectified prior to operating on the original certificated route.
