16 a,c 74SOLAS(24)II-2/4.1.1 The purpose of this regulation is to prevent the ignition of combustible materials or flammable liquids, for this purpose, the following requirements shall be met: means shall be provided to control leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO observed excessive lube oil leak on main engine lube oil bypass filter outlet valve, on the starboard side of the engine room.
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 16 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 14 days

Resolution: Received report from class KR surveyor stating all leaks had been addressed by replacing the gasket on the filter assembly and toquing the flange to spec, "Based on the findings of this survey, GLOVIS CAPTAIN has satisfactorily addressed the deficiencies"
