The condition of the ship and its equipment should be maintained to conform with the provisions of the Code to ensure that the ship will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. PSCO observed cargo leak from cracked weld on stage/vapor discharge line on upper deck of compressor room.

IGC Code 8.2.5 Pressure relief valvles should be set and sealed by a competent authority acceptable to the Administration. Observed seal misssing from #1 starboard tank prssure relief valve. Valve setting shall be varified and valve sealed to cargo operations.

Resolved 8 May 2017
Resolution: Received class report from Bureau Veritas. The report stated that the pressuer relief valve installed on cargo tank No. 1 Stbd was attended by a manufacturer authorized technician. The technician sealed the valve on completion of test.
