Each vessel certified to operate on a limited coastwise route within three miles of land must have a FCC Type accepted EPIRB installed. EPIRB is not installed on the vessel. Install EPIRB appropriately, to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector prior to the carriage of passengers.

A vessel must carry a first-aid kit that meets 46 CFR 199.175(b)(10) or equivalent. The required aspirin on board is expired. Place valid analgesic on board to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.

The frame or support of each extinguisher must be permanently mounted or attached. The console 10 B:C extinguisher is not mounted. Mount extinguisher to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.

A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than three months in any 12 month period since the last examination must undergo a drydock examination and an internal structural at least once every two years. Vessel is overdue for drydock examination. Conduct the required dry dock to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector prior to the carriage of passengers. 46 CFR 176.600(c)(1)

Your vessel must undergo an annual inspection within the 3 months before or after each anniversary date. Vessel is overdue for annual inspection. Conduct the required annual inspection to the satisfaction of the attending Marine Inspector prior to the carriage of passengers. 46 FCR 176.500(b)(1)

A visual alarm must be provided at the operating station to indicate a high water level in normally unmanned spaces. The bilge high water level visual alarms are not operating. Make visual alarm operational. 46 CFR 182.530(a)

An adult life jacket must be provided for each person carried on board a vessel. Three life jackets need to be repaired. Reduce passenger count by three. 46 CFR 180.71

A vessel not required to have a power driven fire pump must have at least three 2 1/2 gallon buckets. The words “FIRE BUCKET” must be stenciled in a contrasting color on each bucket. Stencil each fire bucket. 46 CFR 181.610

Each vessel that does not demonstrate compliance in accordance with § 178.310(c) of this chapter must have permanent loading marks placed on each side of the vessel forward and aft to indicate the maximum allowable trim and amidships to indicate the maximum allowable draft. Vessel does not have loading marks. Place loading marks on vessel. 46CFR185.602(b),(c)(2)

The hailing port of the vessel must be marked on some clearly visible exterior part of the stern of the vessel. Hailing port is not marked on the vessel. Mark the hailing port on the stern of the vessel. 46 CFR 185.602 (a) 46 CFR 67.123 (a)

The following spaces must be equipped with a fixed gas fire extinguishing system in compliance with 181.410: A space containing propulsion machinery. Engine compartment Fireboy audible activation alarm is inoperable. Resolve and prove proper operation of activation audible alarm to the satisfaction of the attending MI. 46 CFR 181.400 (a)(1)

Each ring life buoy on a vessel must be readily accessible and be stowed in a way that it can be rapidly cast loose. Ring buoy stored in forward most center deck storage area. Mount ring life buoy to meet the requirements above to the satisfaction of the attending MI. 46 CFR 180.70(b)(2-3)

A vessel must carry one floating water light, unless it is limited to daytime operation, in which case no floating water light is required. (1) Each floating water light must be approved in accordance with 46 CFR § 161.010 in Sub-chapter Q of this chapter, or other standard specified by the Commandant, including, but not limited to, approval series 160.110. (2) Each ring life buoy with a floating water light must have a lanyard of at least 3 feet in length, but not more than 6 feet, securing the water light around the body of the ring life buoy. (3) Each floating water light installed after March 11, 1997, on a vessel carrying only one ring buoy, must be attached to the lanyard with a corrosion-resistant clip. The clip must have a strength of at least 50 pounds, and allow the water light to be quickly disconnected from the ring life buoy. Vessel restricted to daylight operations until the above is provided to the satisfaction of the attending MI. 46 CFR 180.70(d)

Vessel must have safety radio telephone certificate issued by FCC to prove installation of radio equipment. Vessesl Safety Radio Certificate was expired. Vessel is restricted to 1000 ft from shore. 47 CFR 80.401
