FOR TANKERS OF 20,000 TONNES DEADWEIGHT AND UPWARDS CONSTRUCTED ON OR AFTER 1 JULY 2002 BUT BEFORE I JANUARY 2016, THE PROTECTION OF THE CARGO TANKS SHALL BE ACHIEVED BY A FIXED INERT GAS SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE RIRE SAFETY SYSTEMS CODE. AT LEAST TWO INERT GAS BLOWERS SHALL BE FITTED AND BE CAPABLE OF DELIVERING TO THE CARGO TANKS AT LEAST THE VOLUME OF GAS REQUIRED BY PARAGRAPH 2.2.1.2. PSCO WAS INFORMED BY CHIEF ENGINEER THAT THE ETHERNET MODULE FOR BLOWER #2 WAS INOPERABLE. 74 SOLAS(20) CH. II-2/ REG. 4.5.5.1.1 FSS CODE CH-15/ 2.3.1.4.1
