All electric cables and wiring external to equipment shall be at leas of flame-retardant type and shall be so installed as not to impair their original flam-retarding properties. PSCO observed improper wiring and exposed wires leading to SCBA bottle charger. SOLAS II-1/45.5.2, Code 16A

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted proper documentation and photo evidence from chief engineer and flag state stating the deficiency was rectified. Ships crew replaced defecient wiring to SCBA bottle charger.
