PSCO Observed a F/O leak on the fuel pump of the No. 2 cylinder of the main engine which had been plugged with silicone putty while waiting for the shipyard to provide a technician to repair the leak. Provide clarification from Class on whether the temporary fix is adequate until the technician can serivce the vessel. SOLAS 74(a) 2014 cons I/II(b) 17a

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted proper documentation from master stating the main engine maker, Man Primeserve, attended the vessel and the deficiency was rectified.
