The protection of the cargo tanks shall be achieved by a fixed inert gas system in accordance with the requirements of the fire safety systems code. The system shall be designed to be capable of rendering and maintaining the atmosphere of the relevant cargo tanks non-flammable. PSCO observed flame sensor on IGG system had Malfunctioning. 74SOLAS(20)II-2/4.5.5.1.1/ FSS CODE 15.2.2.1.1

The Inert Gas sytem referred to in paragraph 5.5.3.1 shall be designed, constructed and tested in accordance with the Fire Safety Systems Code. Special consideration shall be given to the design and location of scrubber and blowers with relevant piping and fitting in order to prevent flue gas leakages into enclosed spaces. PSCO observed an atmosphere wth IGG areas exceeding Carbon Monoxide limits. 74SOLAS(14)II-2/4.5.5.3.2, FSS Code 15.2.3.1.6.1.
