The machinery, boilers, and other pressure vessels, associated piping systems, and fittings shall be of a design and construction adequate for the service for which they are intended and shall be so installed and protected as to reduce to a minimum any danger to persons on board, due regard being paid to moving parts, hot surfaces and other hazards. PSCO observed non-class approved temporary repair on the seawater inlet to the main diesel engine heat exchanger. 11104 - Rescue boats - As far as is reasonable and practicable, rescue boats other than lifeboats which are also rescue boats, shall be launched each month with their assigned crew aboard and manoeuvered in the water. In all cases this requirement shall be complied with at least once every three months. Rescue boat drills are not being conducted in accordance with timelines stated in regulation. Over the past 12 months, only two rescue boat drulls were completed on July 6, 2019 and December 14, 2018. 74 SOLAS (14) III/19.3.3.6
