Resolved
A towing vessel must be maintained and operated so the watertight integrity and stability of the vessel are not compromised. Vessel reported 1'-0" crack at bottom of stern starboard void, allowing water ingress and affecting stability. Vessel permitted one time transit to JMI Hahnville upon approved transit plan, and not permitted to move until permanent repairs have been made. TSMS to clear deficiencies attesting to satisfactory condition of vessel upon completion of repairs and notify USCG.

Resolved
Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide safe operation of the towing vessel. Vessel experienced a starboard generator shutdown. Crew discovered there was a cracked oil pan that led to the shutdown. TPO was notified.
In accordance with CVC Policy Letter 17-10, the above deficiency may be cleared by the operating company's TPO. TPO must submit a report to the cognizant OCMI within 72 hours of clearing the deficiencies.
