At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification of a vessel, the owner or managing operator shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspections of the hull structure and its appurtenances, including the following: Inspection of the condition of the superstructure, masts, and similar arrangements constructed on the hull, and on a sailing vessel all spars, standing rigging, running rigging, blocks, fittings, and sails.
Forestay chainplate and port/starboard shroud chainplates must be removed and replaced due to the age of the vessel combined with no documented history of inspection/ replacement.
Vessel restricted to power propulsion only. Aux sail propulsion prohibited until deficiency reciftied satisfactory.

Fire bucket A vessel not required to have a power driven fire pump by §181.300 must have at least three 9.5 liter (21/2 gallon) buckets, with an attached lanyard satisfactory to the cognizant OCMI, placed so as to be easily available during an emergency. The words “FIRE BUCKET” must be stenciled in a contrasting color on each bucket. Replace 5 gallon bucket with smaller bucket as required and attach a lanyard.
