PSCOs observed at least 07 containers in the engine room filled with diesel fuel being utilized by the crew to clean tools and parts. 74 SOLAS (20) II-2/4.2.2

Self-closing fire doors of the same fire integrity standards shall be fitted in the enclosure. PSCOs observed that the fire door to the engine room’s escape trunk did not fully close due to contact with the door frame resulting in a breach of the fire boundary. 74 SOLAS (20) II-2/13.4.2.1.1

Each survival craft shall be stowed fully equipped as required by this chapter and the Code. PSCOs observed that the lifeboat searchlight was not operational. 74 SOLAS (20) III/13.1.4 LSA Code 4.4.8.29

The navigational equipment and systems referred to in this regulation shall be so installed, tested and maintained as to minimize malfunction. PSCO observed X-Band radar fail to acquire target. 74SOLAS(20)V/19.4

Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. PSCO observed 5 immersion suit lights and 4 life jacket lights not operate. Crew replaced with spares on board and tested satisfactorily. 74SOLAS(20)III/20.2

The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board.
