On a vessel of more than 65 feet in length carrying more than 49 passengers, the minimum capacity of the fire pump must be 50 gallons per minute at a pressure on not less than 60 PSI at the pump outlet. The starboard fire pump does not provide adequate outlet pressure as witnessed in the hose/nozzle and readings on the fire pump gauge. Vessel carriage capacity reduced to 49 passengers as allowed with pre - engineered fixed fire extinguishing system, fire buckets and electric submersible bilge pumps installed on board vessel. Provide fire pump with required gauge pressure reading 60 psi at the pump outlet. 46 CFR 181.300(b)
