The keel cooler came into direct contact with the aluminum hull, causing severe corrosion on both hull plating above and below the port keel cooler. Crop and renew both sections of side shell plating as indicated on repair plan provided.

During inspection it was discovered that the coupling between the bear box and engine failed. Vessel will proceed to Brooklyn Navy Yard on one engine, without passengers.
