MAINTENANCE, TESTING AND INSPECTIONS OF LIFE-SAVING APPLIANCES SHALL BE CARRIED OUT IN A MANNER HAVING DUE REGARD TO ENSURING RELIABILITY OF SUCH APPLIANCES. DURING THE INSPECTION OF THE STARBOARD LIFEBOAT, THE PSCO NOTED AN APPROXIMATELY TWO-FOOT SECTION OF FIBERGLASS DECKING WITH SUSPECTED DETERIORATION OF THE INNER CORE, LIKELY CAUSED BY WATER INGRESS. A RISK ASSESSMENT AND/OR REPAIR PROPOSAL IS REQUIRED FROM THE RECOGNIZED ORGINIZATION OR ADMINISTRATION WITHIN 30 DAYS.
