THE OWNER, MANAGING OPERATOR, OR A QUALIFIED SERVICING FACILITY AS APPLICABLE MUST CONDUCT THE FOLLOWING INSPECTIONS AND TESTS: PORTABLE AND SEMI-PORTABLE EXTINGUISHERS MUST BE INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 10... MARINE INSPECTOR OBSERVED PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS LAST SERVICED IN SEPTEMBER 2024.

A VESSEL MUST CARRY EITHER A FIRST-AID KIT THAT MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS IN 46CFR199.175(b)(10) OR A KIT WITH EQUIVALENT CONTENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS. ASPIRIN IN THE FIRST AID KIT WAS PAST THE EXPIRATION DATE.

Exhaust blower switches must be located outside of any space required to be ventilated by this section, and must be of the type interlocked with the starting switch and the ignition switch so that the blowers are started before the engine starter motor circuit or the engine ignition is energized. A red warning sign at the switch must state that the blowers must be operated prior to starting the engines for the time sufficient to insure at least one complete change of air in the space served. The exhaust blower servicing the fuel tank compartment was non operational at the time of inspection and a warning sign stating the blower must be operated prior to starting the engine was missing at the operating station. 46CFR182.460(e)

A vessel's COI and Stability Letter must be posted under glass or other suitable transparent material, such that all pages are visible, in a conspicuous place on the vessel where observation by passengers is likely. COI and Stability Letter were not posted. 46CFR176.302/ .306

Portable fire extinguisher on board small passengers vessels must be installed IAW NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, 2010 Edition, effective December 5, 2009, IBR approved for § 176.810(b). 46CFR175.600

A veesel on a lakes, bays, and sounds route must carry three hand flare distress signals and three hand orange smoke distress signals. All distress signals on vessel were expired. Replace flares with serviceable flares. Cite: 46CFR180.68

A vessel more than 26 ft. but not more than 65 ft. must carry a minimum of 01 life buoy of not less than 24 inches. Life buoy is sun damaged beyoned repair. Ensure vessel replaces life buoy. Cite: 46CFR180.70(a)(2)

Number and identification and their sizes must be marked on each container of life jackets. Location of adult life jackets not marked. Vessel must mark stowage location. Cite: 46CFR185.604

Hydrostatic release unit for EPIRB not marked with expiration date. Vessel must replace hydrostatic release unit and mark with expiration date. Cite: 46CFR185.740

Each EPIRB, other than an EPIRB in inflatable life raft must be tested monthly. Vessel was not conducting monthly EPIRB test. Vessel must provie proof of EPIRB test.

Mount Fixed fire extinguisher vertically per instructions on the bottle. Replace Dry Chem extinguisher with CO2 extinguisher. 46CFR181.410

Wire penetration from fuel space to lazerett is not vapor tight. 46CFR181.400(a)(5)
