A vessel must be provided with a satisfactory arrangement for draining any watertight compartment, other than small buoyancy compartments, under all practicable conditions. Starboard generator, starboard engine room and port engine room bilge suction did not activate upon testing. Restore system functionality and test in the presence of a CG MI.

At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification, the owner or managine operator must be prepared to conduct tests...of its fire protection equipment including...inspection and testing of all smoke and fire detection systems, including sensors and alarms. While testing the heat detectors in the port engine room and generator space, the fire detection panel produced a unit loop fault. Restore panel to original functionality and conduct satisfactory test of all sensors in the presence of a CG MI.
