Main and auxiliary machinery essential for the propulsion and safety of the ship shall be provided with effective means for its operation and control.Vessel reported loss of M/E control from wheelhouse. PSCO observed bridge servo error alarm on alarm history for the engine order telegraph. Vessel is required to provide certified Konsberg thechnician's report attesting to what caused alarm an failure of the system. Technician shall ensure repairs are completed and system is operatin properly.
Condition: Design Flaw
Action required: 10 - Deficiency Rectified
Resolved 12 August 2020
Resolution: Konsberg Technician found calibration was off on the bridge and bridge wings telegraphs. Technician reprogrammed system back to commissioning settings,conducted calibration on bridge wings stations, conducted testing with satisfactory results.
