Unauthorized temporary repairs found on the main engine raw water piping system in the jet rooms, port and starboard. These unreported, unauthorized epoxy patch repairs will be monitored by completing an inspection of each pipe at the beginning, middle, and end of each shift to ensure conditions have not changed. These inspections shall be logged. Additionally, the high water alarms in each jet room shall be tested at the beginning of each shift. These tests shall be logged. These additional tests and additional rounds shall continue until proper permanent repairs are complete. Proper permanent repairs shall be completed no later than the next scheduled dry dock inspection. (31MAR2027)

Vessel reported that the rubber coupling blew out from underneath the hose clamp on the port inboard engine turbocharger. Two clamps must be used on each end of the hose, or one hose clamp can be used if the pipe ends are expanded or beaded to provide a positive stop against hose slippage. Vessel is authorized to continue service but shall have affected engine secured until repairs are completed to the satisfaction of USCG.

Have all such test fittings removed and verified by the manufacturer and report back to the Coast Guard.
