When examining the detection system, PSCO identified a fault alarm and the master gas valve would not close when tested on the gas combustion unit.

THE VENT TO THE GCU ROOM WAS ZIP TIED IN THE CLOSED POSITION. NO AIR FLOW WAS SWEEPING OVER THE VALVE UNIT OR THROUGH THE ROOM.
