The arrangements for the storage, distribution and utilization of other flammable oils employed under pressure in power transmission systems, control and activating stations and heating systems shall be such as to ensure the safety of the ship and persons on board. Excessive F/O was discovered in the containment area of the ship's F/O purifying station. F/O was also discovered to be leaking around the #1 and #7 MDE cylinders.

Resolution: Vessel replaced wasted gaskets on #1 and #7 cylinders on M/E as well as properly wiped up all fuel oil in surrounding areas that escaped from the system.
