Each vessel of 10,000 gross tons or more must have, in addition to the radar system under 33CFR164.35(a), a second marine radar system that operates independently of the first. Vessel does not have functioning S-band radar to meet the requirement of having two functioning independent radars.

The arrangements for the storage, distribution and utilization of other flammable oils employed under pressure in power transmission systems, control and activating stations and heating systems shall be such as to ensure the safety of the ship and persons on board. Excessive F/O was discovered in the containment area of the ship's F/O purifying station. F/O was also discovered to be leaking around the #1 and #7 MDE cylinders. 74SOLAS(14)II-2/4.2.4

Resolved 12 July 2018
Resolution: Vessel replaced wasted gaskets on #1 and #7 cylinders on M/E as well as properly wiped up all fuel oil in surrounding areas that escaped from the system.
