The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulation to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. PSCO observed control panel in fuel oil purifier room was secured with duct tape and rope, exposing electrical circuits on system with 440 voltage. A temporary repair for remote valve for aft peak tank was improperly installed.

Resolution: The panel was permanently repaired to the satisfaction of the attending surveyor. Additionally, a tag indicating that power had been
disconnected from the panel was attached to the power button on the panel.

Resolution: The attending surveyor witnessed the automatic closing of all fire doors in way of the central staircase within the deckhouse. All automatically
closing doors were demonstrated to fully close and latch to the satisfaction of the attending surveyor.
