For tankers of 20,000 tonnes deadweight and upwards, a fixed deck foam fire - extinguishing system shall be provided complying with the provisions of the Fire Safety Systems Code. The deck foam system shall be capable of simple and rapid operation. Crew took approx 10-15 minutes before proper pressure could be attained/proven. 74 SOLAS (2020) II-2/108.1.1 FSS Code 14.2.1.2
