The protection of cargo tanks shall be achieved by a fixed inert gas system IAW the requirements of the FSS code. Maintaining the atmosphere in any part of the tank with an oxygen content not to exceed 8% by volume. PSCO observed that Inert Gas system is not operable- tested atmosphere in two tanks both of which were over 8% by volume with 1S being 15%. 74SOLAS (14 Cons.) CH.
